Web3 Authentication

What is Web3 Authentication?
Web3 authentication uses blockchain wallets instead of traditional usernames and passwords. Your wallet serves as your digital identity on Welo – no email, no password, no personal information required.
Connecting to Welo
To create your Welo page, the only way to connect is with your Solana Wallet (multi-chain support coming soon).
Everything on the platform is linked to your connected wallet – your profile, your content, your earnings, and your community.
Welo uses WalletConnect + Reown for a secure connection and user friendly experience.
What Welo Can See:
Your wallet address (public)
Your on-chain transactions (public blockchain data)
Content you post on Welo
What Welo Cannot See:
Your seed phrase or private keys
Your real identity (unless you share it)
Wallets you own that aren't connected
Your off-platform activity
Make sure you save your connected wallet secret keys in a safe place, otherwise we can't help you with the recover of your account.
Privacy & Anonymity Tips
Your wallet address is pseudonymous, not linked to your real identity
Don't share personal information in your Welo profile
Use a fresh wallet not linked to your identity if you want maximum privacy
Consider using a VPN for additional privacy
