Token-gating restricts access to content, chats, or communities based on supporter status. On Welo, creators can build exclusive communities using two different tier-based systems:
1. Subscription-Based Tiers
Create tiers based on monthly subscription levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.)
Supporters pay monthly to maintain access
Traditional membership model
2. Token Holding-Based Tiers
Create tiers based on how many Creator Coins supporters hold
Hold 1M tokens = Bronze access, 5M tokens = Silver access, etc.
Permanent access as long as they hold the tokens
No monthly payments required
Custom Community Chats
Creators can create custom chat channels for their holders and supporters:
Subscriber-only chats – For monthly paying supporters
Token holder chats – For those holding your Creator Coins
Tier-specific channels – Different chats for Bronze, Silver, Gold tiers
VIP channels – Exclusive access for top-tier supporters or largest token holders
Public channels – Open to all followers
